Information for Authors and Participants

  1. The preliminary program is available here. There you will find your slot and the amount of time you can use for presentation and discussion. We have foreseen 45 Minutes for long papers. Depending on your desires, you are free to use 30+-5 minutes for your presentation and consequently 15+-5 minutes for discussion. If, for instance, you feel that you would like to discuss your work more thoroughly, give a shorter presentation and more discussion. Short presentations are 30 Minutes. Also here, we allow you to use the time as you like. Make sure that the session chair is informed about your desires.
  2. You can make use of an IBM PC or laptop running MS-Office 2000, a white screen of appropriate ratio, and data projector. Additionally, we have requested an overhead projector, a whiteboard and internet access.
  3. For posters there will be Poster Display Panels (size A0). In case you will need something else, please tell sigdial06@dfki.de asap.
  4. We are also organising a demo session. If you would like to give a demo, please let us know, detailing what facilities you will need, if any.

  6. The venue for the workshop (along with the other pre-conference workshops and tutorials) is the University of Technology (UTS). Note that this is a different venue from the venue of the main conference. UTS is at the corner of Quay St and Ultimo Rd, see this map. The SIGdial workshop will be held in Room CM05B.01.12.   7. When you arrive at UTS on the morning of July 15th, you should first register. Registration will be available from 7:45am that morning. Enter on Quay Street, Building C of the Business School. Pre-registration for the main COLING-ACL conference will be possible here too, as will distribution of the monorail passes and any guest passes to the welcoming cocktails for the main conference.
