As you all know, every two years we hold elections for our Executive Committee and Advisory Board.
We are looking to fill the following positions:
- Executive Committee
- President
- Vice President
- Secretary
- Treasurer
- Board (Advisory Committee) member
- Per our constitution, 3 of the Board members are elected and 3 are appointed by the President.
All members serve for 2 years and the executive committee meet bi-weekly. The purpose of the executive committee is to oversee the SIGDial conference, finances, and liaise with other organizations.
Candidates for the above positions must be members of SIGDial and have to be nominated by at least two SIGDial members (we do not allow self-nominations).

To submit a nomination, you have two options:
1) fill-in this form: https://forms.gle/8upoHXCJQn5diABKA
or
2) Email elections@sigdial.org using with the following structure:
Email subject: “Nomination of <name> for <position>”
Email body:
Name of nominee: <name>
Affiliation of nominee: <affiliation>
Position of nominee: <title at affiliation>
Email address of nominee: <email>
Nominated for: <position being nominated for>
Nominator: <your name>
(Optionally) Co-nominator: <other nominator’s name>
The co-nominator should be cc’ed on the email.
The nominee will receive an email asking them to confirm their interest in the position by providing a brief statement of their background with SIGDial and what they plan to do if elected.
