Open PhD/Postdoc positions in Spoken Dialogue Systems / Conversational AI at University of Bamberg, Germany

We invite applications for two PhD student/Postdoc positions in Spoken Dialogue Systems / Conversational AI.

The positions are to be established in the group “Natural Language Generation and Dialogue Systems” (Prof. Stefan Ultes). The group’s research focusses on methods and technology to realise intelligent voice assistants and how to render the interaction with such systems as natural as possible. With the focus on the behaviour of the AI-system, machine learning techniques are the basis for the group’s research on reinforcement learning for natural dialogue interaction, entity-based dialogue modelling and neural language generation.

Candidates for this position should have a master’s degree in computer science, computational linguistics, or a related discipline. Experience with machine learning including deep learning is desired. The research will be conducted in English.
